This is probably a real tweet, but I am not going to verify. I’m just not going to do it anymore. I have lost count of the times I have doubled checked to see if the meme or screenshot is from a real tweet and it turns out to be true.

can someone explain my why the “good guys” made what’s likely the most unethical army in fiction?

how is a clone army a thing? that’s practically like breeding brainwashed slaves for war.

It was wildly unethical and the Jedi weren’t particularly happy with the clone army being created, but the republic was happy with an army that didn’t have “real” people dying…

The Jedi instituted some changes for better treatment of the clones, such as giving them actual names, but it wasn’t much more than surface level fixes

Palpatine and Dooku commissioned the clone army in secret, then revealed it as a solution to the robot army attacks, which they also funded. The Jedi/Republic accept the help begrudgingly. Unfortunately, I rewatched ep 1-3 recently.

Watching that movie the first time, I was expecting the plot to be about freeing the clone troopers, not using them.

    That’s… What I’m here for

    Edit of missed opportunity:

And so this guy comes up to me, big guy, tall guy, tears in his big black eyes, and he says, “sir, as many clones as you want, we have them, sir. Would you like to see the factory?”

And I said, “Of course, are these clones manufactured in America? I want to see them!” And so now were charging 30% tariffs on these clones from Kamino, as of August 1. Or maybe not. I don’t know. STOP TALKING ABOUT EPSTEIN!!!

The funny thing is that he’s so full of himself that it would be clones of himself, and well, they would need bigger armor
