My partner has a Kindle,. its been connected to Amazon once when she got it… 4 years layer it still hasn’t been reconnected. Everything is just loaded and managed via Calibre. I have a Kobo but the screen on her 4 yr old Kindle is better then my 6 month old Kobo

Had endlesss issues with 2x Nexus phones, eschewed google, gave them another chance with a Pixel 6Pro, sold it after a month it was so shitty and grabbed a Samsung S22u that i still use. I use the pen so often its shitty not having one and goodlock does along looottts of customisation. I also mostly prefer their apps to googles, alas googles cant be deleted :(

There have been several cases here in Australia where men have been denied access becase they are men and taken it to court… and lost, I suspect that’s sort of what the person posting is referring to. Theres a carve out in the law to allow womens only spaces.
Now, whether you agree with the ruling of the courts or not, is to some extent ilrrelevant to the discussion (the courts are notionally after all just following the law) because gender equality then isn’t about what’s on the tin and that’s when you get push back.
