In the last few years, their prices have gone up hugely and the quality has gone down by just as much (and it was already over priced and shit).

The instance I was on Lemmy originally blocked access to the UK so I’ve joined a UK centric one. Ironically lemmynsfw still works fine.
In an effort to curb usage of online porn I’d already stopped accessing anything online anyway and actually bought a couple magazines for personal time instead which is a strangely nostalgic experience.
All in all, it hasn’t been much of a personal inconvenience. Anecdotally, VPN subscriptions are up.

It highlights the hypocrisy at the centre of the UKs policy towards Israel. The hand wringing and pledges to make a hollow gesture if Israel don’t stop murdering babies in 6 months time. All the while using British military equipment and personnel to observe the genocide for Israel and selling Israel the bombs and bullets to do it.
You missed the point I was making that the systemic problems with the police mean that collectively they are all bastards.

Some Individual Cops May Actually Be Reasonable And Honest But The Institution Of The Police Is So Corrupted By Vested Interests That There’s No Way To Distinguish Between Those Individuals And The Ones Who Would Actively Cause You Harm Plus They’re Almost All Racist And Mysoginist Anyway So The Distinction Is Largely Academic
Two things. Firstly, patients are being harmed because hospitals are being forced to cancel planned operations and procedures, some of which people have been waiting years for.
Secondly, they just went on strike last year and won a huge pay rise, significantly ahead of inflation. The argument put forth by the BMA is based on bad data and misleading statistics.
There are significant structural problems within the NHS that need to be addressed, including some that directly affect the earning power of young doctors. None of which will be fixed if they keep going on strike.
